For the construction project of a Freeway with several junctions and bridges, we are seeking an experienced Project Planning Engineer
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Analysis and decision support with the aim of maximizing order performance and minimizing negative variances
- Definition of the work programme (CPM currently implemented in MS project)
- Detailed definition of programme activities, durations, links between activities
- Definition of start-up and completion milestones to which each activity is related
- Identification of specific work calendars for each type of activity
- Allocation of resources to activities based on operating estimates and related cost analysis
- Identification of priorities on control and corrective actions
- The production of reports and analysis to support decisions (logical diagrams and bar charts; histograms; plans of labour, means, materials).
- Monthly management of the progress of the work programme through updating and analysis of the progress on the productions finalized at the end of the month
- Verification of critical project paths to identify potential deviations in advance
- Simulations to support decision-making and budgeting support
- Support to the monthly forecast
- Contribution to the development of possible variant appraisals.
Required skills
- Previous experience gained in the planning of infrastructure project works (mandatory)
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Access) (mandatory)
- Knowledge of software dedicated to Project Management such as MS Project (Mandatory) and SPRING (most welcome).
- Knowledge of accounting programs such as: STR, PRIMUS, COIN
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of cost control
- Structured approach to work
