For the construction of a Bridge and a freeway with several junctions, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager Infrastructure:
Purpose of the role
The Project Manager is responsible to take ownership of the Project P&L and ensure that construction project is well planned and successfully executed. Among many activities, he is responsible that projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget - while maintaining positive communication with client, owner and all the stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities
- Analyse the project to carry out the initial environmental analysis of the site
- Planning the works, defining the contract budget, optimizing costs and revenues
- Identify the needs and requirements for proper construction
- Represent company and project to client, owner, and other entities
- Ensure the perfect execution of the work, coordinating human resources, materials and all the facilities for an efficient execution of the work
- Control the execution of subcontracting and supply contracts, including compliance by subcontractors and other contractors with contributory, social security, insurance and accident prevention obligations
- Review and approve pay applications, analyse construction cost and assess potential improvements in schedule and activity costs to keep the project within budget and profitable
- Verify and comment the production trend and the anomalies found, defining the actions to be taken to find resolution to issues and to ensure construction schedule is met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil [Engineering], Construction Management or [related field]
- At least 10 years of experience in the same role on building sites of major infrastructural works
- Understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience working in Poland highly desired
- Experience with FIDIC projects is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). MS Project is a plus.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, risk and change management
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to see big picture, effective decision making, mentoring and delegation
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multi-task
- Proven experience in managing and directing people
- Capable of conducting productive meetings, being punctual and organized
- Fluent knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
