ACZENTA AG Hydrogen pipeline pre-commissioning and operations engineer Senden

We are seeking an experienced Hydrogen Pipeline Pre-Commissioning and Operations Engineer to develop technical guidelines for the pre-commissioning and operation of a pipeline designed to transport 100% pure hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive guidelines and procedures for the pre-commissioning of a pure hydrogen pipeline.
• Prepare operational guidelines for the safe and reliable transportation of 100% hydrogen.
• Define requirements for pipeline preparation, testing, commissioning and start-up.
• Address hydrogen-specific operational, safety, integrity and maintenance considerations.
• Review existing technical documentation and ensure alignment with applicable industry standards and best practices.
• Cooperate with project, engineering, operations, inspection and HSE teams.
• Provide expert advice on the practical implementation of the guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven professional experience in hydrogen transportation through pipeline systems.
• Direct, hands-on experience with pipelines transporting 100% pure hydrogen.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing pre-commissioning, commissioning and/or operational procedures for hydrogen pipeline systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydrogen-specific pipeline integrity, materials, safety and operational requirements.
• Experience with hydrogen–natural gas blends is not sufficient on its own; experience with pure hydrogen pipelines is an essential requirement.
• Ability to produce clear, structured and technically robust documentation.
• Good understanding of applicable international codes, standards and industry practices.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in the conversion, commissioning or operation of existing pipelines for pure hydrogen service.
• Experience with hydrogen pipeline integrity management and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with applicable hydrogen pipeline standards, regulations and permitting requirements.
• Previous experience supporting major energy, gas transmission or hydrogen infrastructure projects.
