Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver HSE Induction Courses to HSE Technicians and Engineers, covering both theoretical (classroom) and practical (on-site) components.
  • Facilitate training on critical HSE topics, including:
    • Process operational safety
    • Material hazards and handling
    • Safety procedures prior to shutdown
    • Isolation protocols
    • Maintenance work safety
  • Conduct written and practical competence assessments to evaluate participants' understanding and ability to apply safety standards and procedures effectively.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    • At least 7 years of experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas industry.
    • Demonstrated expertise in delivering HSE training programs, including designing training materials and assessments.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of refinery operations and associated safety risks.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA safety regulations and their application in an oil and gas environment.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Confidence in presenting to groups and facilitating training sessions in diverse environments.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and other training tools.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to engage participants effectively in both classroom and on-site training settings.
