Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Process Operations training sessions, both theoretical (classroom-based) and practical (on-site), to local Operations Technicians and Engineers.
  • Conduct written and practical assessments to evaluate trainee competence, ensuring all participants meet operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of training progress, course completion, attendance, and any issues encountered, providing regular updates to management.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Educational Background:
    • A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
    • A Bachelor's degree with substantial industry experience will also be considered.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in refinery operations, ideally in roles such as Operations Supervisor, Senior Operations Engineer, or similar.
    • Significant hands-on experience with refinery unit operations.
    • At least 5 years of instructional experience, including the development and delivery of industry-specific training programs.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations, and refinery-specific compliance standards.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and other training tools.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Confident in delivering presentations and training to diverse audiences in both classroom and on-site settings.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Comfortable addressing groups and facilitating both technical and hands-on learning.
