Do you thrive on uncovering insights that drive product improvements? We are currently seeking a talented and experienced UX Experience Researcher to join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing Google Maps and Google Trends.

Position Overview:

As a UX Experience Researcher, you will play a crucial role in advancing the usability and functionality of two of Google's most widely used products: Google Maps and Google Trends. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct in-depth research to gather user insights, identify pain points, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement user-centric design improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and analyze various user research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability studies, and field studies to gather actionable insights.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate research findings into actionable recommendations that drive product enhancements.
  • Advocate for the user by championing user-centric design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize research opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Create and present compelling reports, presentations, and findings to stakeholders to influence design and product strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting user research for digital products, preferably in the field of mapping/navigation or data analytics.
  • Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate research findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design.
  • Previous experience with international research and understanding of global user behaviors and preferences.
