ACZENTA AG Engineering coordinator (precast railway segments) Senden

For a railway construction project, we are looking for an Engineering Coordinator experienced in precast segments and span erection works.

The project is one of the most important infrastructures of the capital city and the scope of work includes the prefabrication, transportation and erection of the deck of the 3.5 km long elevated guideway, built using the span-by-span method with precast match-cast technology and erected using overhead gantries.

Essential duties

• Drawing up the technical designs and plans for the erection of the prefabricated segments and spans (definition of working methods, risk assessments, working procedures, inspection and testing plan, construction filming, civil engineering, temporary works, etc.),
• Assisting the erection manager in the procurement of specific technical items or subcontracts
• Carry out structural surveys and site inspections during the erection phase of the project.
• Monitoring progress, ensuring that all work activities are carried out in accordance with the technical specifications, documentation and standards established by RDE/Deal, and providing status and progress reports.
• Provide recommendations for performance and process improvements to increase efficiency/productivity, improve HS conditions and optimise equipment and other resources.
• Identify potential criticalities and/or deviations from original contract terms or engineering plans, provide alternative solutions and recommendations, and determine strategies to address challenges;
• Resolve QA/QC and technical issues identified during the installation process with the engineering and QA/QC departments.
• Participate in meetings with the client and third parties to properly address technical and quality issues (construction methods, handover procedures, etc.).
• Coordinate the project handover process to the client
• Good knowledge of English and Spanish required
