Our Client, a leading international company specialized in infrastructure, is seeking a Site Procurement Coordinator for a railway tracks and tunnelling construction project in France. Purpose of the position The Site Procurement Coordinator manages the procurement post-award ordering and delivery activities of materials, equipment and services of the Joint Venture during the construction process. Essential duties: - Management of the site procurement office in accordance with approved project policies, procedures, plans, strategy and budgets - Lead contract negotiations and preparation, including issuing approval of contract documents, subcontracts and purchase orders - Oversee Coordination of expediting, logistics and traffic with respect to the delivery of supplier equipment and materials delivered to site - Research of new supplier / subcontractors - Communication with suppliers / subcontractors on all procurement related matters - Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification - Maintain existing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, and establish new relationships to ensure adequate resources for all projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of work - Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes - Administers the contract and contract revision approval processes through preparation of the contract agreement document for execution; conformance of commercial documents, invoices, closeout, etc. - Leads contract and project closeout which may include final payments, resolution of claims, and insurance coverage as required - Identifying process improvements and cost savings opportunities Qualifications: - Min. 3+ years procurement or supply chain management experience - Able to read and understand project specifications, plans, and other project documents as they relate to procurement activities. - Knowledge of procurement best practices, import regulations, competitive bidding, market conditions, general contract terms and conditions is required - Strong negotiation skills with suppliers / vendors - Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with an orientation toward teamwork and collaboration with others. - Excellent knowledge of French, written and spoken - English, at independent user level, highly desired You can expect a varied and independent activity in a dynamic and international commercial environment.
