Purpose of the position:

Implementing, Managing and Supporting of a standard control philosophy and structure, along with consistent functional direction in the areas of time, resource and cost management and provision decision -making information for the project management team by usage of the latest internationally acclaimed sophisticated proved soft wares both developed and high end packages. 

Essential duties

  • Organizing and managing the project control team and developing necessary operational instructions.
  • Managing and Coordinating within management control mechanisms for monitoring the phases of the project and Issue progress status reports for management. 
  • Ensure appropriate levels of monitoring systems and that control information transferred between participants (the project management team, contractors and vendors) is clearly defined and that roles and responsibilities of all participants are understood. 
  • Ensure the project management information system and confirm adequacy.
  • Ensure the project document control system and to control other object like as importing, searching, review and comment, setting permission of document, revision control, etc. 
  • Coordination and Finalizing of all project schedules for engineering, material management and construction.
  • Coordinate to providing a detailed estimate for project control and providing cost control and incurred cost information against the project detailed estimate. 
  • Convene regular project meetings with full project representation to review the status and formulate action.
  • Prepare and present recovery plans and strategies to ensure that completion on time is the essence of the contract by focus on resolving items outstanding on critical issues log and periodic visit to site. 
  • To provide services including assistance during contract preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration and verification of contractual payments. 
  • Carry out cost Risk Analysis and management reserve utilisation (contingency)
  • Working closely and project coordination with client.
  • Be pro-active in all matters relating to Cost, Planning and Risk Analysis.
  • Ensure that all contractors' invoices are verified before submission for payment.
  • Ensure that all interfaces are identified, agreed and reviewed on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that all short-term critical tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that plans are tracked and reported, highlighting and offering solutions to problems.

Qualifications / requirements

  • 10-15 years experience international experience as project control and planning roles in the EPC sector in oil and gas company.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Working knowledge of contractual & project control & management procedures.
  • Familiar with Project contract and finance procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer based cost and planning tools.
  • Familiar with cost probabilistic and associated software.
  • Ability to initiate and promote the discipline of cost/planning with the engineering/construction departments.
  • Ability to prepare strategy plans to ensure that the cost / planning tools are capable of meeting the Company's business needs.
