About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee the construction of a large-scale Photovoltaic (PV) power plant.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising all civil activities of the construction of a PV Plant project, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all civil construction activities, including site preparation, foundation works, and structural installations.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Review and approve civil and structural drawings, material specifications, and project documentation.
- Monitor progress and provide regular reports on project milestones, challenges, and mitigation measures.
- Ensure proper drainage, road access, and site infrastructure for the PV plant.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on renewable energy, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong experience in earthworks, foundations, steel structures, and road construction for industrial projects.
- Excellent understanding of geotechnical studies, structural analysis, and environmental impact assessments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in challenging environments and travel as needed.
- Fluent in French and English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification or license in civil engineering.
- Experience with solar PV plant infrastructure, mounting systems, and substation construction.
- Familiarity with EPC contracts, project management, and quality assurance protocols.
